Chocolate and custard dessert

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • chocolate
  • sponge finger
  • heavy cream


Whisk milk, egg yolks and sugar, then simmer the mixture never allowing it to boil, stirring. Separately make a thick and not very sweet chocolate custard. In a deep serving plate make a layer of sponge fingers and another layer on top going in the opposite direction, crossing them and covering each of them in the chocolate custard. Continue until the custard is finished Once it has cooled, pour the “caulatt” (the milk mixture) carefully over, so that it is absorbed by the sponge fingers which therefore increase in volume. Store it in a cool place before serving.
