Bread Soup with Oil

Ingredients: Per 6 servings

  • 2 lb stale bread
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • marjoram
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Preparation:

Put into a pan 4 cups of water, season with salt and add half of the oil and the cloves of garlic, peeled. In the meantime, cut the French loaves into small pieces, and when the water begins to boil, toss these pieces of bread into the pan and boil for some minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon. When the mixture is dense and elastic, pour into the plates and add a drizzle of oil, a pinch of marjoram, and a little pepper.
