  • 4 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup cooking cream
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons aromatic herbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • black pepper
Preparation

Brown the chopped onion in the butter. In another receptacle, beat the eggs, add the warm milk and the cream, grated Parmesan cheese, the chopped mixture of herbs, the salt, freshly-ground black pepper and the nutmeg. Add the onion, mix well, pour into a buttered, floured mold and bake for 30 minutes in a hot oven (400°), if possible in a baine marie.
