INGREDIENTI: per 0 persone
  • 1 handful mint
  • 1 handful ginger
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 lb red mullet
Preparation

Put the garlic, calamint, and ginger into a mortar and pound well. Prepare on the heat a pot containing water and, when it comes to the boil, add the pounded mixture. Add oil and salt to taste. Boil over high heat for about 10 minutes and then add the curled picarels cleaned, but with the heads still on. Lower the heat and leave the fish to cook. These fish do not need a long cooking time, but you need to take care they do not break up. Prepare in a tureen, some slices of bread, better if toasted, and first of all pour on top the cooking liquid then add the fish.
